An 18-year-old Boston man drowned yesterday while swimming illegally with friends at Fells Reservoir, authorities said.

It was the second death in four years at the reservoir, where teens continue to cool off and frolic despite stepped-up State Police patrols. Signs that read ``No Trespassing" ring the parkland around the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority reservoir, which many people legally use for walking, biking, and jogging.
